Ascendismed International is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Albania office, located in Tirana. This role involves managing and executing administrative support activities for Ascendismed operations in Albania. Reporting directly to the Country Director, the successful candidate will work closely with clients’ representatives, Ascendismed medical team, and the finance department to ensure seamless operations. The Administrative Assistant will also oversee procurement functions to guarantee cost-efficient use of resources.

Dr. Klodian Gjylaçi

Country Director Albania

Dr. Klodian Gjylaçi serves as Country Director for Albania, bringing extensive experience in emergency medicine, occupational health, and medical training to the role. Since joining AscendisMed in 2019, he has been central to the organization’s care for diplomatic missions, international organizations, and personnel working in remote and high-risk industrial settings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he coordinated urgent and ongoing medical support for international staff, demonstrating calm judgment and reliability under exceptional pressure.

With more than a decade of clinical and field experience, Dr. Gjylaçi earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine, Tirana, and received specialized clinical training in emergency medicine at “Mother Teresa” University Hospital. His expertise spans emergency and trauma care, critical care, resuscitation, occupational health, and emergency response planning.

Dr. Gjylaçi is a Full Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor and a Basic Life Support and Defibrillation (BLSD) instructor, with further advanced training through the European Resuscitation Council. As one of Albania’s earliest ATLS-certified physicians, he has helped strengthen trauma education and medical preparedness in the country.

His leadership is grounded in a deep understanding of AscendisMed’s patients, partners, operations, and standards, developed through years of direct service. He leads the Albania team with a steadfast commitment to clinical excellence, responsive coordination, and care that meets international standards.
